Two popular New York City food establishments are joining forces for a unique new product. From Friday, October 5 through Sunday, October 7, The Doughnut Project and the iconic Carnegie Deli are introducing the Rueben Doughnut Sandwich.

The limited-time offering consists of caraway seed dough with Carnegie Deli’s beloved pastrami, brûléed Swiss cheese, and “Russian dressing” Glaze with a cornichon (small pickle) garnish. The Rueben Doughnut Sandwich will be available at The Doughnut Project’s West Village location only.

Although Carnegie Deli’s main branch closed at the end of 2016, the brand continues to operate outposts in Las Vegas and Madison Square Garden in New York City, as well as online distribution.

Last month, The Doughnut Project teamed up with Kentucky’s Four Roses Bourbon for a special bourbon-infused doughnut for National Bourbon Heritage Month. The shop also partnered with New York City’s Serendipity 3 for the Frrrozen Hot Chocolate Doughnut, inspired by the restaurant’s famous Frrrozen Hot Chocolate drink.
